SMART Recovery:
Self-help for Substance Abuse and Recovery (non AA)
*These groups are intended specifically for the friends and relatives of the alcoholic or addict. Although Al-Anon officially limits itself to alcoholism, most local groups recognize that alcohol frequently plays a role in other addictions, and some members "qualify" through a relative other than the current addict (such as a parent, although their primary concern is with a drug-addicted child). Other addiction groups may be contacted directly for family support information.
