The Arizona Supreme Court is considering a rule-change petition that would have effects on the practice of law. Among the possible changes would be the elimination of the prohibition on lawyers and nonlawyers jointly operating a law office. That change and others are viewed by proponents as a significant effort needed to close the Access to Justice Gap.
Petition R-20-0034 is currently in the comment period and the Court would like to hear from anyone with thoughts on the proposals. You can read and comment directly on the Court's Rules Forum through March 30, 2020. Instructions for posting comments on the Forum are available here.
